Resale Rewards: Your Customer Guide

Welcome to Resale Rewards, the free loyalty program at your favorite resale and consignment stores. Every time you shop, you earn points. When you reach a points goal, you get a coupon to use on your next visit. It is that simple, and you can track everything from a free app on your phone.

This guide walks you through how to join, how the app works, and how to make the most of your rewards.

  • Points on every purchase. Each dollar you spend turns into points on your account.
  • Automatic coupons. When you cross a points goal, your store automatically issues you a coupon. No paperwork, no signup forms.
  • A free mobile app. See your points balance, view your coupons, and get messages from your favorite stores, all in one place.
  • Birthday and welcome gifts. Many stores send a special coupon during your birthday month and a welcome coupon when you first join.
  • Multiple stores in one account. Use the same Resale Rewards account at every participating store you shop at.

You can sign up at the register at any participating store. There is no website to register on first; everything happens in person at checkout.

  1. Tell the cashier you would like to join the Rewards program.
  2. Share your phone number with the cashier. This phone number becomes your Rewards ID.
  3. Share your name and email address.
  4. Optionally share your birth month so the store can send you a birthday coupon each year.

That is the whole signup. Your account is active immediately, and you start earning points on that visit's purchase.

Your phone number is how the store finds your account quickly at checkout, and it is how the Rewards app links to your in-store activity. You do not need a smartphone to be enrolled; the program works even if you only ever visit in person. The app simply makes it easier to track your progress and coupons between visits.

The Resale Rewards mobile app is free to download. It is the same app for every participating store: sign in once, and any store you have shopped at and given your phone number to will appear in your account.

  • iPhone or iPad: open the App Store and search for “Resale Rewards”, or visit https://apps.apple.com and search there.
  • Android phone or tablet: open the Google Play Store and search for “Resale Rewards”.

  1. Open the app and tap Log In / Register.
  2. Enter the phone number you gave at the store.
  3. Set a password. The app will text or email you a code to verify.
  4. Done. Your stores, points, and coupons appear on the home screen.

If you have shopped at more than one Resale Rewards store, all of them appear under My Stores automatically once you sign in.

Tap the menu in the upper-left corner of the home screen to open the main menu:

  • Map: see nearby participating stores. Useful when traveling or looking for new places to shop.
  • Messages: see promotions and coupons your favorite stores have sent you. New messages get a blue dot next to the menu item.
  • My Stores: list of every Resale Rewards store you have shopped at. Tap a store to see your points balance and active coupons there.
  • About: app and version information.
  • Tutorial: a short refresher on how the program works.
  • Profile: your name, email, phone, and notification preferences.

Earning is automatic. Just go shopping. As long as you share your phone number with the cashier at the start of your sale, your points are added to your account once the sale completes.

  • Always share your phone number at the start of the sale. If the cashier rings up the order before you mention you are on Rewards, your points may not stick to that transaction.
  • Keep your contact info current. If your phone number changes, ask any participating store to update it on your account so your points stay attached.
  • Watch for promotions. Many stores run double-points days, holiday bonuses, and themed promotions. These show up in Messages in the app.

Points appear on your account a few seconds after the sale closes at the register. Refresh the My Stores tab in the app to see the latest balance.

When your points cross a goal set by your store, the store automatically issues you a coupon. The coupon shows up in two places:

  • In the app, under the store's Messages or Available Rewards section.
  • At the register, the next time you visit that store. The cashier will see it ready for you.

There is nothing for you to print, scan, or remember. Just shop. When you check out, the cashier sees your available coupons and applies the one you want to use. You can stack coupons with sales depending on the store's rules; ask the cashier if you are not sure.

After a Rewards-linked sale, your receipt prints a short summary at the bottom showing your current points balance, any new coupons you just earned, and (if you are new to the program) a link to download the app.

Coupon expiry is set by each store. The most common default is six months from the date the coupon is issued. The exact expiry date shows under the coupon in the app, and the app will remind you when a coupon is about to expire.

Your favorite stores can send you messages and coupons in several ways:

  • Welcome promotion: a one-time coupon when you first join, usually arrives within a day of signup.
  • Birthday promotion: a coupon during your birthday month, if you shared your birth month at signup.
  • Ad-hoc promotions: special holiday offers, double-points days, new-merchandise announcements, anything else the store wants to share.

All of these arrive as push notifications on your phone (if you have the app installed and notifications turned on) and as messages in the app's inbox. You can scroll back through old messages anytime in Messages.

The Resale Rewards app is shared across every participating store. If you shop at more than one, you do not need separate accounts.

  1. The first time you visit a new participating store, just share the same phone number you used at your first store.
  2. The new store appears under My Stores in your app within a few minutes.
  3. Points and coupons are per-store. Points at Store A do not transfer to Store B, but they all live in the same app for easy tracking.

This works even if you travel and shop at a participating store far from home.

Yes. The app is optional. You can earn and redeem rewards just by giving your phone number at the register. Your receipt will show your current points balance, and you can always ask the cashier to look up your account.

Most common reasons:

  • You have not yet reached the points goal at that store. Ask the cashier or check Available Rewards in the app for that store.
  • The store has issued a coupon but your push notifications are turned off. Open the app and check Messages for the store; the coupon is there even if you did not get a notification.
  • Your contact info is out of date. Ask the cashier to confirm the phone number on file.

The most common cause is the phone number not being entered at the register before the sale was rung up. Ask any participating store to look up that transaction at your next visit; they can usually correct it.

Ask any participating store to update your phone number on your account. They will use your name or email to find you and switch the number. Only one Rewards account can have a given phone number at a time, so the change is quick and one-step.

No. Your points are tied to your account, not your phone. Reinstall the app on your new device, sign in with the same phone number, and everything reappears.

Only one phone number per account. If you and a partner shop together at the same stores, pick one phone number to use consistently, and both of you will benefit from the same points and coupons.

The Resale Rewards app is free to download and use on both iPhone and Android. There are no in-app purchases.

  • For questions about a specific point balance, coupon, or recent visit: ask at any participating store next time you are there. They can look up your account and answer most questions on the spot.
  • For help with the app itself (download issues, sign-in problems, push notifications): use the in-app Support option, available from the Profile menu in the app.
  • For account changes (phone number, email, name): ask any participating store. They can update your account from their register.
