Viewing and Enabling Item Images in the POS

Your POS can show a thumbnail of each item as you add it to the sale. To make sure this works, the item needs a picture attached to it and the picture option needs to be turned on. Here's how to set it up.

You can do this one of three ways.

Option 1: Use the Photo App. Instructions on how to add a photo to an item below via iOS or Android:

Note: The item must exist before adding the photo to the item in the Photo App.


Option 2: Use the Item Entry App.

Use Steps 9-18 in this article to add an image to an item through the Item Entry App.

Note: Only Available on iOS.


Option 3: Use the Inventory Module.

1. Double click an Account to open it up.

2. Double click the Item you want to add the image to.

3. Click the Double Arrows.
4. Click on Add.

5. Click on the Image you want to add and the click Open.
6. Click Save to attach the image to the item.

Note: The image should be 200 x 200 px. You can resize it by double clicking the image uploaded in Inventory Module.

1. Open up Point of Sale.

2. Click on More….

3. Click on Setup.

4. Under General, turn on Hide Number Buttons on Sale Screen and press OK.
5. Click Finished.

1. Start a New Sale.
2. Type in the Account#-Item# or scan in the Tag.
3. The Thumbnail populates where the Number Pad used to be.

Note: If the item is under the status of 'Needs Info' the thumbnail will not show up in the POS.
