Setting Up Debit Pin Pad With ResalePay Cardpointe / Propelr and Ingenico Devices

In order to process debit PIN and debit card transactions on ResalePay Propelr / Cardpointe, you must have Ingenico devices.
Clover devices cannot process debit card transactions.

Note: This is not an automatic process that allows selection from the device. A debit card call must be made from the Liberty POS in order to process a debit card transaction.

Setting Up And Testing Debit PIN Transactions

We must first make sure that a debit card payment type is enabled in the Liberty POS.
Open the POS and click on the More button.
Click on the Payment Types button.
A Debit Card payment type is always available to be used within the Liberty POS, but we need to make sure that it is set up properly.

Make sure Payment Kind is set to Debit.
This is required so the Liberty POS sends the proper call indicating that you will be processing a Debit Card.
- The Active checkmark box needs to be checkmarked.
- The Hide Payment Button checkmark box needs to be Unchecked.
- Click the Save button when finished.
Go back to the Main POS Hub Screen and click New Sale.
Ring up a fee for .01 to do a test.
Click the Debit Card button.
Your screen will prompt Please Wait - Processing Card Payment.
The Ingenico will show the Cardpointe splash screen and Connected when it is ready to take payments.
When the Debit Card button is pressed on the POS side, you will see an Amount and Swipe/Insert/Tap.
You can Insert or Tap your card, as the majority of the time you will have EMV cards.
Tap your Debit PIN Number for your card.
Press the Green button.

The Debit Card transaction will now be processed and completed.
You can now continue finishing out the sale in the Liberty Point Of Sale.
