To Assign Product Lines To Categories
* Select Setup > Categories > Category Editor.

Product Lines Overview
Before Product Lines are set up, Tax Codes must be set up. If you have not set up Tax Codes, go back and do so before proceeding.
Product Lines have two purposes:
* To assign a Tax Code to each Category. Doing so eliminates the need to enter a tax rate each time an item is entered. Why Categories are Assigned a Product Line
Product Lines are used to associate a Tax Code to a Category to speed item entry. Product Lines are also used to group Categories together for reporting purposes.
Example: A clothing store sells shoes to both women and children.
