Terminals

Terminals are used to identify each station with Liberty on it. This is important when it comes to trying to determine sales and inventory data that was recorded at those stations. Without terminals, all the sales and inventory data is recorded as being transacted at one terminal.

If you are running Liberty on two or more workstations, it is recommended that each workstation has a unique name assigned to it. This will allow you to track terminal transactions separately.

If you are running multiple Liberty point of sale terminals, it is recommended to assign a unique name or ID to each terminal. This will allow you to track terminal transactions separately. See Setting Up Terminal IDs (Networks Only) and Assign Terminal IDs for more information.
