Default Duration

image13.png

This value represents the default duration, in days, for eBay Auction (eBay) listings.

This can be overwritten on the eBay auction (eBay) listing.

The GTC (Good ‘Til Cancelled) value means the listing will automatically relist every 30 days unless you manually end the listing. This feature is automatically selected for eBay Buy it Now (eBay BIN)Listings.

Starting Price

This value represents the Starting Price for eBay Auction (eBay) Listings.

This can be overwritten on the eBay auction (eBay) listing.

eBay Site

The eBay Site your items will be listed to. Currently ONLY eBay US is supported. In other words, one cannot set this to Canada to list items to the eBay Canada website.

Items are added to eBay Motors marketplace either as Auctions (eBay Motors) or Buy It Now (eBay Motors BIN) by selecting the eBay Motors marketplace when creating the listing.

image16.png

Of course, the eBay Motors Market Places will need to be enabled.

Location

image4.png

Location eBay item will be shipped from. You can state your town, city or country. However, if using calculated shipping, it is best to use Zip Code (or Postal Code if item is shipped from Canada).

NOTE: When adding zip code to this filed you will need to preface the zip code with the letter “Z” followed by the pipe character “|” (usually found near the back space key on most keyboards) This tells eBay this value is an actual zip code. This location will also be displayed on your eBay Listings.

Example: Z|32809

eBay Country

image9.png

Set this to the country the item is being shipped from. Now you can specify the your country such as Canada - CA or United Kingdom - GB, for example. One can use the eBay US website to sell from anywhere in the world.

eBay Currency

image17.png

This option is for setting the currency your consumers will use to pay you.

Send Weight As Ounces

image11.png

Changes the default online item weight from pounds to ounces. This is ideal for one who is selling things weighing less than 1 pound. If this Send weight as Ounces setting is set and the item weighs 1.5 pounds, one needs to add 24 ounces. Also, weight can ONLY be a whole number. No decimals please. Regardless if set to pounds, default, or ounces.

Caution: If this setting is set, after you have listings on eBay, updating listings will change the pound listings to ounces. This can be an undesired result so be very careful here!!! FYI, Shopify works differently.

Default To Send Store Category

image6.png

When enabled, this option sends your Liberty categories to your eBay store, creating a category structure that mirrors Liberty. Note that only categories tied to active listings will be sent—not your entire Liberty category list. Liberty categories can also be used alongside standard eBay categories.

Default To Allow Best Offer

image7.png

This will default to allow buyers to negotiate price with sellers for eBay BIN listings

eBay & Motors Category Version

image8.png

Displays the category ID eBay has associated with their category version. eBay will change categories from time to time. If they do you may get invalid category error on listing. To resolve error update the categories by hitting the “Refresh eBay Categories” button. Then re-select the eBay category in the listing. Please keep in mind this refresh may take several minutes to complete.

Please note anyone using eBay Category Mapper, once category list has been refreshed, will have to update categories there as well for future listing.

Preferred Condition

image3.png

This feature helps you automate your eBay listings. Configured properly relevant, to specific eBay category, condition will automatically populate on the eBay Listing.

Due to the complexity of eBay categories and the variation of values accepted/not accepted this field, as of 6.3a, supports multiple values. The values are separated by the “|” pipe character.

For Example: Women's dresses accepts values “New with tags, New without tags, New with Imperfections, Pre-owned - Excellent, Pre-owned - Good, Pre-owned - Fair”. While jewelry bracelets supports “New with tags, New without tags, New with defects & Preowned” While Baby swings supports “New, New other (see details), Used, & For parts or not working” One Listing these three types of items may want to configure the Preferred Condition field as such: “Pre-owned - Excellent|New without tags|Used”

How this field works: Liberty will look to see if the values is supported. In this case, for value “Pre-Owned - Excellent” if not a relevant value, Liberty will check the next value “New without tags”. If that value is not relevant to the category Liberty will then check to see if “Used” is an appropriate value. If, not then Liberty will go through the list again and try to make a partial match. If all your items are in excellent condition you may want to add Excellent to Preferred Condition suck as “Pre-owned - Excellent|New without tags|Used|Excellent”

Preferred Cond. Desc.

image14.png

This value, if populated, will be automatically added to your eBay listing. Set this value to the condition of most of your items. This can be overwritten on the Listing level. Example: Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor. Only one value can be selected.

Default Attribute Value

image10.png

All eBay listings must include required item specifics, referred to in Liberty as Suggested Attributes. If any required specifics are missing, the listing will not be posted to eBay.

Liberty attributes that match eBay’s item specifics will auto-populate. It's strongly recommended to maintain accurate, matching attributes, as eBay uses these fields for search and visibility. For automation purposes, a default value will auto-fill any item specific that lacks a corresponding Liberty attribute. Most people use “N/A” for this value.
