====== Setting Up Store Sections to Track Inventory Locations ======

Sections are a way to organize items within a store. Similar to going to a large department store, items can be categorized into different parts of the store based on what they are.

**Example**: Your store specializes in clothing. You could have a section for Mens, Womens, and Children.

  - Within Liberty select **Setup > Maintain > Sections**. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem6394.png|NewItem6394.png}} \\ The Maintain Sections dialogue box will open. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem6393.png|NewItem6393.png}}
  - Selecting the Add button or the Edit button will open the details of Sections. Selecting the Delete button will delete the Section. \\ **Note: Once a Section has been used, it cannot be deleted. You will get the following error**. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem6392.png|NewItem6392.png}} \\ The Details Screen of the Sections will open. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem6391.png|NewItem6391.png}}
  - Enter in the name of the Section and press the **OK** button when done. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem6390.png|NewItem6390.png}}

You should see your newly created section in the Maintain Sections dialogue box. Press the **OK** button when done.
