====== Setting Up Promotions ======

A specific promotion, such as a radio ad or a newsletter, can be tied to a sale. Creating this connection can be useful for determining how effective a particular type of marketing has been.

  - From the main menu screen of the Point Of Sale select the **More** button. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem724.png|NewItem724.png}}
  - Login if Prompted. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem3562.png|NewItem3562.png}}
  - Select the **Promotions** button. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem722.png|NewItem722.png}} \\ The Maintain **Promotions** dialog box will open. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem3577.png|NewItem3577.png}}
  - Selecting the **Add** button or the **Edit** button will open the details of the Promotion. Selecting the **Delete** button will delete the Promotion. \\ Note: Once a Promotion has been used, it cannot be deleted. You will get the following error. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem720.png|NewItem720.png}} \\ The Details Screen of the Promotion will open. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem3578.png|NewItem3578.png}}
    * Description : Enter in the Description of the Promotion. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem3579.png|NewItem3579.png}}
    * **Active (Check Box**) : Use the Active Checkbox to indicate whether or not the Promotion will be used. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem3580.png|NewItem3580.png}}
  - Select the Save button when done. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem3581.png|NewItem3581.png}} \\ The new Promotion should show in the Maintain **Promotions** dialog box. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem3582.png|NewItem3582.png}}
  - Select the OK button when done. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem3583.png|NewItem3583.png}}
