====== Setting Up Debit Pin Pad With ResalePay Cardpointe / Propelr and Ingenico Devices ======

In order to process debit PIN and debit card transactions on ResalePay Propelr / Cardpointe, you must have Ingenico devices. \\ Clover devices cannot process debit card transactions.

Note: This is not an automatic process that allows selection from the device. A debit card call must be made from the **Liberty POS** in order to process a debit card transaction.

===== Setting Up And Testing Debit PIN Transactions =====

  - We must first make sure that a debit card payment type is enabled in the **Liberty POS**. \\ Open the POS and click on the **More** button. \\ {{resalepay:cloverflex3:pasted:20260622-164349.png|20260622-164349.png}}
  - Click on the **Payment Types** button. \\ {{resalepay:cloverflex3:pasted:20260622-164349-2.png|20260622-164349-2.png}}
  - A **Debit Card** payment type is always available to be used within the **Liberty POS**, but we need to make sure that it is set up properly. \\ {{resalepay:cloverflex3:pasted:20260622-164349-3.png|20260622-164349-3.png}} \\ Make sure **Payment Kind** is set to **Debit**. \\ This is required so the **Liberty POS** sends the proper call indicating that you will be processing a **Debit Card**.
    * The **Active** checkmark box needs to be checkmarked.
    * The **Hide Payment Button** checkmark box needs to be **Unchecked**.
    * Click the **Save** button when finished.
  - Go back to the **Main POS Hub Screen** and click **New Sale**. \\ {{resalepay:cloverflex3:pasted:20260622-164349-4.png|20260622-164349-4.png}}
  - Ring up a fee for .01 to do a test. \\ {{resalepay:cloverflex3:pasted:20260622-164349-5.png|20260622-164349-5.png}}
  - Click the **Debit Card** button. \\ {{resalepay:cloverflex3:pasted:20260622-164349-6.png|20260622-164349-6.png}}
  - Your screen will prompt **Please Wait - Processing Card Payment**. \\ {{resalepay:cloverflex3:pasted:20260622-164349-7.png|20260622-164349-7.png}}
  - The **Ingenico** will show the **Cardpointe** splash screen and **Connected** when it is ready to take payments. \\ {{resalepay:cloverflex3:pasted:20260622-180552.png|20260622-180552.png}}
  - When the **Debit Card** button is pressed on the **POS** side, you will see an **Amount** and **Swipe/Insert/Tap**. \\ You can **Insert** or **Tap** your card, as the majority of the time you will have **EMV** cards. \\ {{resalepay:cloverflex3:pasted:20260622-180552-2.png|20260622-180552-2.png}}
  - Tap your **Debit PIN Number** for your card. \\ {{resalepay:cloverflex3:pasted:20260622-180552-3.png|20260622-180552-3.png}}
  - Press the **Green** button. \\ {{resalepay:cloverflex3:pasted:20260622-180552-4.png|20260622-180552-4.png}} \\ The **Debit Card** transaction will now be processed and completed. \\ You can now continue finishing out the sale in the **Liberty Point Of Sale**.
