===== How To Accept A Check =====

  - From the POS Hub select the **New Sale** button. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4240.png|NewItem4240.png}}
  - **Login** if prompted. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4239.png|NewItem4239.png}}
  - Select your posting mode. For more information on posting modes, see [[pos1:pointofsaleindepth:postingsalesinpos:sellitemregular|Sell Items For Regular Price]], [[pos1:pointofsaleindepth:postingsalesinpos:sellitemdiscount|Sell An Item At A Percentage Discount]], and [[pos1:pointofsaleindepth:postingsalesinpos:changeprice|Changing The Selling Price Of An Item]]. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4238.png|NewItem4238.png}} \\ The posting mode you are in will be displayed in the black entry field. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4237.png|NewItem4237.png}}
  - Scan or type in your items using the **Account-Item Number** format. \\ Example: for item 19 on account 1 type in 1-19. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4236.png|NewItem4236.png}}
  - If the customer check amount equals to the Total Due, then select the **Check** button. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4235.png|NewItem4235.png}} \\ The **Check** dialog  box opens. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4234.png|NewItem4234.png}} \\ Enter the check number then select the **OK** button. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4233.png|NewItem4233.png}} \\ The check information will be entered into the system. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4232.png|NewItem4232.png}} \\ Select the **Finish** button when done. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4231.png|NewItem4231.png}}
  - Press the **Print Receipt** button to print a receipt. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4230.png|NewItem4230.png}}
  - If customer check amount is less than total due, enter the amount of the check in POS, then select the **Check** button. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4229.png|NewItem4229.png}} \\ The **Check** dialog  box opens. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4228.png|NewItem4228.png}} \\ Enter the check number then select the **OK** button. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4227.png|NewItem4227.png}} \\ The check information will be entered into the system. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4226.png|NewItem4226.png}}
  - If customer still has a balance from total due, select the next appropriate payment type. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4225.png|NewItem4225.png}} \\ Once there is enough to cover the full amount of the sale, select the **Finish** button. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem4224.png|NewItem4224.png}}
