====== Enter Sale Dates for Retail Items ======

Items may be posted as sold at a discount by using **Sale** Post in Point of **Sale**. With Retail Items it is possible to put items on sale for a specific time period. Doing so causes the items to be rung up in Point of **Sale** during the specified time period at the lower sale price automatically.

  - Lookup the **Retail Account** you wish to add inventory to. Click the **Vendor List** button at the top of Liberty. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem1802.png|NewItem1802.png}}
  - The **Vendor List** tab will show. Type the account information in the search field. Double click the account you want to open. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem1757.png|NewItem1757.png}}
  - Once the account is open, find and double click the item you want to edit. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem1800.png|NewItem1800.png}} \\ Details of the item will open. At the bottom is a box called **Sales**. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem1799.png|NewItem1799.png}}
  - There are 2 ways to add a sale.
    * Click on the **Create Sale** button on the left side. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem1798.png|NewItem1798.png}}
    * Click on the **Plus (+**) symbol inside the **Sale** Box. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem1797.png|NewItem1797.png}} \\ The Retail **Sale** dialog box will open.
    * **Sale Start Date** : The date the sale period is to **Begin**. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem1796.png|NewItem1796.png}}
    * **Sale End Date** : Date the sale period is to **End**. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem1795.png|NewItem1795.png}}
    * **Sale Date** : The price the item will be **During** the sale period. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem1794.png|NewItem1794.png}}
    * **Active (Checkbox**) : Clicking the active check box will **disable** the sale. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem1793.png|NewItem1793.png}}
  - Once selections have been made, click the **OK** button. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem1792.png|NewItem1792.png}}

The **Sale** will appear in the **Sale** Box.

===== How To Modify An Existing Sale =====

  - Double click the **Sale** you want to **Modify** or press the **Modify** button to the right of the **Sale** Box \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem1787.png|NewItem1787.png}} \\ The Retail **Sale** dialog box will open. \\ {{libertyreact:lib:newitem1786.png|NewItem1786.png}}
